The article has received a lot of attention both here on Instructables and on other platforms. WebbSVO states that it works well with a facing down camera. I run it on raspberry these days. If I up the resolution I get low fps and I am lost. If I use lower resolution I don't get many features or they vanish from screen quickly and I'm lost again. I don't know if any well-known slam algorithm can work fairly well on raspberry pi.
